Brenzone
A string of lakeside hamlets on the east shore south of Malcesine, and the honest, quieter corner of the northern basin. Brenzone has real wind, real riders and one advantage the busier spots cannot offer: room to breathe. It also has its own live station feeding this app.
Which wind works here
The morning Pelér is the reliable act: Brenzone's shore takes the northerly well, and big-gradient mornings deliver properly here. The afternoon Ora arrives too, though this far from the northern narrows it usually runs a notch lighter than at Torbole or Navene. On a marginal thermal day the far north keeps working while Brenzone softens first, which is worth knowing when you pick your afternoon.
Getting on the water
Windsurfers and wingfoilers rig from this shore without fuss, as along most of the eastern side. For kiters, Brenzone follows the lake's general rule: no beach launching, so kite sessions here start from a boat, and the legal beach launches remain the club spots at Navene and Campione. Shore space is shared with swimmers in summer. The reward is a session with a fraction of the crowd of the famous corners.
