Navene
A stretch of stony shoreline between Malcesine and the northern narrows, and one of the lake’s true kite homes. Navene is one of the few places on Garda where kite schools teach from the shore rather than from a boat, which tells you most of what you need to know about its wind exposure.

Which wind works here
Navene sits on the east shore of the upper lake with clean exposure to both regimes. The morning Pelér lands here early and honestly, with the east side getting the northerly with little to soften it. The afternoon Ora is solid as well, a touch less compressed than at the Torbole corner but entirely dependable on a proper thermal day.
Getting on the water
This is kite country first, and a rare thing on Garda: a legal beach launch. Known to the local crew as "the tunnel", the spot runs through Kite Club Malcesine, so budget for club membership if you want to launch from the beach. A school or two also teach from boats out front, the easy route for first lessons. Wingfoilers and windsurfers share the water comfortably. The beach is stones rather than sand, so footwear helps, and space management matters on a busy day since the launch is compact.
Good to know
The Pelér session here rewards commitment: it is often at its best right after first light and fades late morning as the lake swings toward the thermal cycle. Keep an eye on the app’s morning verdict, and remember the rhythm is an indication, not a timetable. Under a strong synoptic north flow the northerly can run all day.
